Trio Sirènes
Trio Sirènes enjoys pushing boundaries and highlighting the many sonic possibilities of their wind, string, and percussion instruments. With performers drawn from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Trio Sirènes creates an innovative program of standard repertoire, works by contemporary composers, and transcriptions from earlier eras.

Brass Roots Trio
Three world-class musicians redefine the chamber music genre with the fusion of classical, jazz, Americana, and Latin styles. The program, with classical roots and eclectic content, takes unexpected twists and turns, from a brilliant Baroque duet on piccolo trumpet and horn, to decadent tangos and artistic arrangements of American spirituals.

Thomas Beard
“Evolution of the Spiritual”
Accompanied by Julia Morris-Myers, dancer Shaela Davis and narrator Vander Xiom, lyric-dramatic baritone Thomas Beard offers a definitive account of the Negro spiritual. Beginning in 1526 and travelling on to the Civil War, Mr. Beard’s musical history covers all the highlights of this truly American contribution to traditional music.
This concert is presented in grateful memory of Margaret Brofman, who enjoyed our concerts for many years and thanked us by remembering Catonsville Concerts at 3 in her will.

Chamber Musicians of the U.S. Navy Band
Brilliant chamber music ensembles are formed from members of the United States Navy Band and frequently perform at the White House and for functions hosted by the Chief of Naval Operations, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and for local and international dignitaries. The specific ensemble for this concert will be announced closer to the performance date.

Atlantic Guitar Quartet
The Atlantic Guitar Quartet is a contemporary music ensemble dedicated to promoting the music of living composers. Through virtuosic performances, innovative programming, and collaborations with other visual and performing artists, AGQ has broadened the repertoire for – and the definition of – the classical guitar quartet.
